PoE Guild Guide

A guild is an in-game association of players. PoE Guild can give a group of players much more organization and communication than the friend system, adding a private guild chat (bound to the “&” symbol). Guilds are account-wide and can’t be joined only by specific characters. They start with 30 member slots, but more are available through a microtransaction set of 10 extra slots for 100 points (~$10 or $1 each). There is currently a maximum of 250.

PoE Guild Changes 3.16

  • You can now Ctrl+Click items from your Inventory to store them in a Guild Stash. You can also now Shift+Click a stack of items in a Guild Stash to withdraw a partial stack of items.
  • Currency, Map, Quad, Unique, Divination, Fragment, Essence, Delve, Delirium, Metamorph and Blight Stash Tabs can now be purchased for Guild Stashes. We’ve also added the ability to create Stash Tab Folders and set Affinities for Guild Stash Tabs.
  • The Guild Stash History webpage has also seen improvements, now displaying the quantity of an item that has been added or removed, and which Stash Tab those items were stored in. You can also now set a custom date range to view changes within that time frame, and download the displayed history as a .CSV file.
  • Introduced Guild Hideouts: Guild Hideouts feature a Map Device and Crafting Bench that can be used by all Guild Members. When in a party with fellow Guild Members, the party can all access the party leader’s Map Portals from the Guild Hideout.
  • Guild Leaders can select which Hideout to use for their Guild Hideout from ones they have discovered throughout the game. Microtransaction Hideouts can also be purchased to be used for a Guild Hideout from donated Guild Points. Note: Microtransaction Hideouts purchased for Personal Hideouts do not grant the ability to use them as Guild Hideouts.
  • Hideout Decorations for Guild Hideouts can be purchased using donated Guild Points.

Guild Features and Hideouts

GGG first introduced Guilds alongside Path of Exile’s initial release in October 2013. Guild leaders and members have been patient for a long time, and after eight years, GGG is rewarding that patience with a wave of guild quality of life features!

As a game about items, the functional heart of a Path of Exile guild is its stash. You can finally control+click items into and out of your guild stash and access other features such as the dropdown list of stashes, drag and drop stash ordering, affinities, etc. GGG has also introduced guild versions of all of the types of premium stash tabs, so guilds can finally enjoy popular tabs such as currency or map tabs. While shared guild tabs are a little more expensive than individual tabs because of their server and development overhead, GGG has bundled all of the exotic ones together in a single discounted bundle for guilds that want to invest in the whole lot at once.

GGG has also added the ability to export a CSV file of your guild stash activity log for convenient auditing.

GGG wanted to pair functional with fun, so GGG has also introduced Guild Hideouts! Guild leaders can select any in-game or microtransaction hideout that they have unlocked and create a guild hideout based on that template. These hideouts are a great place to hold guild meetings or to just have as a space for members to meet up between maps. If you’re hanging out in your guild’s hideout, you can use its map device as though it was your own.

GGG understands that not everyone is in a guild, so there’s one hideout-related feature that we wanted to mention. GGG has entirely removed the favour system from Path of Exile. From this expansion onwards, all hideout decorations that could previously be obtained with favour are now available to all players in unlimited quantities, for both personal and guild hideouts. Now there’s nothing stopping you from making the hideout of your dreams. GGG has added a system that allows you to filter decorations by tag, because there are just so many available to you by default now.

Hideout Improvements

In addition to the Guild improvements noted above, we've also made improvements to Hideouts in Path of Exile: Scourge.

  • If a Hideout closes with portals still open, it no longer prevents access to the Map. Instead, whenever a player joins a Hideout or Guild Hideout, any previously opened portals are reopened if the destination Map still exists.
  • Map Portals to empty Map instances will not expire so long as the Map owner remains in either their Hideout or Guild Hideout.
  • The Master Level and Favour systems have been removed entirely.
  • You now have unlimited access to a range of Hideout Decorations through the Decorations Tab in both Personal and Guild Hideouts (excluding purchased Microtransaction Hideout Decorations).
  • We’ve added a "Tag" search system for Hideout Decorations which can be used in addition to the existing search field to quickly locate specific Decorations.
  • As a result of these changes, the Forsaken Masters Achievement is now completed after defeating each Master's most dangerous foe: The Vaal Omnitect for Alva, Aul, the Crystal King for Niko, Farrul, First of the Plains for Einhar, The Syndicate Mastermind for Jun, and The Shaper and Elder for Zana.
  • The Watchstone Modifier that granted increased Master Favour gained can no longer roll. Existing Watchstones with this Modifier will still exist, but will do nothing.
  • Increased Master Favour has also been removed from the "A Gracious Master Prophecy" and the Atlas Passive in The Uncharted Realm, these still provide their other functions still.

Guild ranks

There are three membership tiers:

  • Leaders can change permissions of guild members and make microtransaction purchases for the guild.
  • Officers can invite people to the guild.
  • Players make up the bulk of guilds and have no moderator powers.

Guilds and microtransactions

Any member can donate points from their account to the guild (not the leader’s account). The guild leader can accept or reject point donations on the guild webpage at pathofexile.com. If they accept a point donation, then they are unable to kick that member out of the guild for three months.

Microtransactions bought by a guild are attached to that guild, not any specific member, and so are currently lost if the guild is deleted.

Guild stash

Guilds can have a special stash shared by its members. Like the regular stash, the guild stash is crossing all leagues — even future ones. Guilds don’t come with a stash when they’re created, but the leader can purchase Premium Guild Stash Tabs for 50 points each. The leader can also set access permissions for different tiers of members to view, add items and remove items.
