Quest Guide

You get this quest automatically shortly after you become a Horde Assassin (I’m still not sure if you need to have a kill after becoming one or if it’s time-based). I tried completing it in a raid, but it’s NOT possible. Only possible if you are solo or in a group of 2-5. Levels of Alliance players we killed were between 110 and 120, so you don’t have to only kill max level ones. Killing the same target multiple times also counts.

If you die you have to repeat the whole process all over again, UNLESS a friend of yours combat resurrects you and shares the quest with you again.

PS.The fastest way to do this quest is to create a raid and then hunt down players until everyone becomes an Assassin. Then, split into regular groups of 5 and roam together. Make sure each group has a healer. I tried to do it solo, and with a friend, but in the end we were taking too much time hunting for people that they organized into a mini raid of 10-15 and hunted us down instead.

EDIT: For anyone wondering, this is NOT account-wide. You will need to do this on a per character basis unfortunately.

Logging out also automatically fails the quest.

The quest will be offered to you when you become a bounty target.
It will fail if you die.
You can reset your Horde Assassin and bounty status, without failing this quest, by leaving the zone for a couple of seconds.

bad news in the latest update it can no longer be obtained while in a raid you can get a bounty but not get progress on the 10 kills

The quest is as of 18.08 shareable so you can share it with your group and complete it together.

The most efficient way to start is by joining/forming a large raiding party and get your bounty that way. Then,leave the raid, group up in small 5 man groups with others who have bounty, and get your 10 kill credits. It’s best to get it done when there are multiple groups running in the same area…safety in the midst of a raid-sized group with all the benefits of actually getting credit towards the quest 🙂

if you fail the quest, you have to abandon it and wait to get it again or it resets someway?

Tip for anyone in a raid group trying to complete this quest, if you tag an alliance player and then leave the raid group you should be in same phase as the raid group for a few minutes and any kills you contribute to will count towards the quest, then when you get kicked out of the phase you can just rejoin the same or another raid group and repeat.

Some tips and personal experience about this:

• This quest seems to not be account bound, you will have to grind it on every character that you want the title on
• Activates around the time you get 10 consecutive honorable kills in world pvp without dying (sometimes it pops up later than you get marked as assassin but you always will be Horde Assassin when you are doing it). You also can’t die, leave party, leave zone or zone into an instance when you get the quest
• This quest can be active at the same time as Servant of N’Zoth (but you are most likely going to die if you attempt it)
• Best approach imo is to find a phase where the isn’t a lot of alliance but there is an active objective (N’Zoth assaults final bosses, Kul’Tiras assaults, azerite world quests), and then form a party with at least 1 healer or some classes that have either off-heals, good mobility or CC (monks, druids, DHs, paladins, rogues). The name of the game is staying alive in order to not fail the quest, having damage doesn’t matter when you can’t fly and alliance can just swarm your group

When you die, DONT RELEASE.
Get some1 to ress you, u will not lose the quest and u can even fly.
I got this achievement with this strategy.

Took me about 15-30min to get the quest after getting the assassin buff, accidentally lost it by riding waterstrider just tiny bit into open sea while going around isles, so be careful if you travel over water.

wouldn’t mind a bit of warning on this quest – I had a bounty put upon me a good hour or two after the Battle for Nazjatar, had made zero alliance kills since – i am flying high above Nazjatar and alt tabbed, waiting for the war crate to spawn. next thing i know i am dismounted, on the ground and have 10 alliance around me who instantly kill me.

With cross-faction, this has become easier.

Despite not being able to single target rez the opposite faction, you can still mass rez them if they’re in the same group.

Step 1. Invite the opposite faction player to put you both in the same phase.

Step 2. Remove them. If they are in your group, you will gain no honor, and therefor no progress to getting the Assassin buff.

Step 3. Kill

Step 4. Reinvite, and use a healer mass rez.

Step 5. Repeat starting from Step 2.
