Character Customization

Blizzard has briefly discussed the addition of further character customization options, in the form of new hairstyles, customized dances, tattoos and other visual effects. There is an in-game barber shop located in some major cities which will allow your character to change hairstyles for a small amount of gold. Blizzard has stated that they have no intention of allowing characters to change faces, body structure or size (which means you're stuck with that pink nose forever, troll).

New Mount, Vanity Pet Storage

Pet and mount collectors rejoice! Now instead of struggling for bagspace to support your motley crew of companions and rides, all mount and vanity pet items have been changed to consumables that will teach you to summon the pet from a newly implemented menu. This menu features tabs separate tabs for your mounts and vanity pets from which you can view the creature's model and select which one you would like to summon. This storage option will free up a ton of bag slots for more enthusiastic collectors and also allow users to carry their entire aresenal of pets along with them everywhere they go!

In-Game Calendar

Blizzard has implemented an in-game calendar that will show any in-game events that may be occurring that month, including holidays, battleground weekends, and raid dungeon resets. This new feature also allows players to add their own events to track, and makes guild-related events a lot easier to organize and manage.

The calendar window is accessed from a new large round button at the upper-right edge of the minimap.

New Emotes

Blizzard is also adding a ton of new emotes, hopefully some vocal, with which you can express your character's thoughts and emotions in game. Sadly, there has been no discussion of improving existing vocal emotes - such as female tauren player voices and the undead female's /cry. Click an emote to expand for in-game text.
