WoW Magmatusk Dragonflight Boss

Magmatusk – The djaradin discovered many of Neltharion’s secrets while plundering Neltharus. An experimental potion gone awry created Magmatusk, a behemoth of a mammoth bent on sheer destruction.

Important Magmatusk Trash Tips and Tricks

Watch out for the frontal cast Volcanic Guard from Qalashi Warden. It is slow to go off, but will hit hard. Tanks should be aware of Blazing Slash, which will deal moderate damage to them.
Tank players should take note of pulls with Qalashi Spinecrushers, as they deal moderate damage to you in the form of Brutal Strike and knock you back.
Ore Elementals just do damage to your tank, unless they are casted on by Qalashi Thaumaturges. This will turn them into Molten Elementals, which pulse a ramping DoT onto your team with Molten Core.
Interrupt the Molten Core cast from Qalashi Thaumaturge to avoid spawning Molten Elementals, which will quickly get out of hand and cause tons of damage to your group. They also cast Magma Conflagration, which deals targeted damage to someone in the party. This cannot be kicked, but it can be stopped with CC.
Qalashi Plunderer will cast Explosive Concoction, which will spawn an orange swirl you need to dodge on the floor.

Magmatusk Tips and Strategy

All Roles

Magma Tentacle is the main mechanic of the fight. The longer it goes on, the more tentacles the boss will spawn (one for each time he reaches 100 energy). This empowers the other mechanics of the fight.
Magma Lob spawns a swirl on the ground that leaves behind a puddle of lava. If you hold the boss in the lava, he will deal 50% additional damage.
Lava Spray targets a random player in the party and does a wide cone on them.
Blazing Charge will occasionally happen, causing the boss to charge towards a wall in the room. He also spawns Lava Waves for every tentacle when he reaches his destination, which fire out across the room from him to a wall.

Tank

Tanks should pay special attention to boss positioning, trying to keep it out of lava to avoid the damage increase and away from walls so the group has time to prepare for the charge and to dodge the cones.

Healer

Magma Eruption is the main healer mechanic. For each magma tentacle, the DoT that this spell leaves will become stronger. Healers should plan their cooldowns
