Teera and Maruuk – Ukhel necromancers are resurrecting legendary centaur. The spirits of the first matriarch, Teera, and the centaur’s greatest warrior, Maruuk, have risen from their graves. Once their fury has abated, perhaps they can find rest again… and eternal peace.

Important Teera and Maruuk Trash Tips and Tricks

It’s time for the next boss. As always, use Dragonriding and the “Tornado” spawns to move faster to the Teera and Maruuk boss encounter. Before Teera and Maruuk activate, you first must defeat the 4 Soulharvesters – Soulharvester Duuren, Soulharvester Galtmaa, Soulharvester Tumen and Soulharvester Mandakh , located around the area. They share the same abilities (just like the Stormcaller mobs located around The Raging Tempest area) so understanding how one of them works will give you an insight of what you can expect for the remaining Soulharvesters. Apart from them, there are a few more mob types you should pay attention to:

• Interrupt Soulharvesters‘s Death Bolt Volley at all costs, as it does mass AoE shadow damage to everyone. Beware when they cast Shatter Soul, it will only be cast on 3 random players in your party. You will deal 30% less damage until you collect your soul back or the duration expires. Watch out for Harvest Soul. It will harvest the souls of dead allies within 20 yards and gain a Consumed Soul buff, healing him and increasing caster’s shadow damage done. This is why it is always best to throw all of your offensive resources at this mob!
• Ukhel Deathspeaker is another high-importance caster mob that will periodically cast Grasp of the Dead Curse effect on 2 random players from your party (yes you can de-curse it), dealing damage-over-6 seconds and upon expiration it will immobilize you (using abilities like Monk’s Tiger’s Lust or Paladin’s Hand of Freedom will remove the immobilize effect). Besides that, there is one more ability that must be addressed here – Chant of the Dead. It’s important to stay at least 10 yards away from the mob to avoid being damaged. When Ukhel Deathspeaker is casting Chant of the Dead, do your best to not have any Undead enemies to avoid him from buffing their offensive and defensive toolkit by 50%. If the cast goes through, you can use Enrage Dispel to remove the enrage effect from the nearby mobs.
• Once you engage Ukhel Beastcaller, pay attention to his Devour Spirit, he will “feast” upon his allies and gain Soul-Infused Weapon. The mob also does high tank-damage because of Heavy Slash and has the ability to call reinforcements. Desecrating Roar (can only be stopped with Stun or Disturb effects).
• Avoid being hit by the Necrotic Eruption, coming from Ukhel Corruptor.
• Last but not least, it is extremely important to interrupt – Dominate from Ukhel Willcrusher. Failing to do so will result in being mind-controlled and attacking your allies for 6s. Using Tremor Totem will neutralize the effect, simply pre-place it before the Dominate cast and let it go through.

Teera and Maruuk Tips and Strategy

Upon defeating Soulharvester Duuren, Soulharvester Galtmaa, Soulharvester Tumen and Soulharvester Mandakh, Teera and Maruuk will appear.

Teera and Maruuk Boss PreviewA few important details to mention are that the two legendary centaurs share health – Life Link, so the best possible strategy will be to always tank them together so the DPS can effectively “cleave” them. They, just like every boss so far, will have energy: at the beginning of the fight, Teera starts at 50 and Maruuk with 0. Upon reaching 100 energy, they will cast their signature abilities – Teera’s Gale Arrow and Maruuk’s Earthsplitter. Here is a more
detailed breakdown of the boss fight:
Gale Tornado

• When Teera casts Spirit Leap, quickly move to her to continue the cleave of both bosses for maximum up-time.
• Throughout the whole fight, Teera will cast Quick Shot. Make sure you are above half health to prevent any lethal damage coming your way.
• Brutalize is an incredibly strong “tank-buster” ability. As a tank, you must have mitigation up for it, if not, ask for a healer’s external-defensive cooldown to help you fill the gap.
• Maruuk will periodically cast Frightful Roar. You have a limited time to run out of melee so you don’t get feared. Any fear-immune or immunity effects work here (Example: Warrior’s Berserker Rage, Shaman’s Tremor Totem, Rogue’s Cloak of Shadows, etc. There are plenty of more abilities that work too).
• Teera will target every player (except the tank) with Gale Arrow, so it’s best if you move away and drop the Gale Tornadoes further from the boss. Remember that if you contact any of the tornadoes, they will do damage to you and apply a small knock-back effect, so it’s best to place the boss away from them to avoid any casualties.
• Beware when Teera casts Repel as you will get pushed back. The follow up Guardian Wind, is interruptible, so classes with gap-closer abilities will be valuable here (Example: Warrior’s Heroic Leap, Mage’s Shimmer etc.) because they can stop the push-back effect faster.
• Last but not least, Maruuk’s Earthsplitter is a lethal ability that must be dodged at all costs. You have 2 seconds to avoid being hit by it. If you can’t, remember that the damage is Physical so any immunities will help you survive here.

On Mythic difficulty, a Ancestral Bond mechanic will increase their damage by 5%, every 1 sec that they spend further than 20 yards away from each other. You want to keep them together at all times to avoid increasing the difficulty on an already hard fight.
