During Phase 1, players should kill the Fel Iron Summoners in the following order:
The Fel Iron Summoner at the red Fel Spire
The Fel Iron Summoner at the green Fel Spire
The Fel Iron Summoner at the purple Fel Spire
This kill order eliminates the Infernals early so that melee DPS are not hampered by them while killing the final Fel Iron Summoner. A raid with few melee DPS could consider killing the Fel Imp summoner before the Infernal summoner.
Tanks should then position Mannoroth near the green Fel Spire, since it is the last of the Fel Spires to be destroyed by Gul'dan, and thus players will have to move less.
Tanks can put their backs to the Fel Spire so that the pillar will catch them during Massive Blast
During Phases 2 and 3, killing adds takes priority over DPSing Mannoroth
The raid should stack tightly on one of Mannoroth's back legs, to bait Fel Imps and Infernals closer together
This will also mean that the players affected by Mannoroth's Gaze are likely to run in the same direction, allowing for easy soaking of the damage effect
The raid should assign a few players to help soak Mannoroth's Gaze and Empowered Mannoroth's Gaze, preferably players with strong mobility and damage-reduction cooldowns
Players can either regroup on the same leg after each Felseeker, or, swap to the opposite side of Mannoroth each time Felseeker is cast
When Phase 4 begins, the green Fel Spire will be destroyed, so tanks must face Mannoroth toward the center of the platform
Players must avoid being in front of Mannoroth unless they are tanking, or during Empowered Shadowforce while Mannoroth does not use his Empowered Glaive Comboabilities
The raid should spread out slightly for Empowered Mannoroth's Gaze, so that the affected players do not all run on top of each other, dealing heavy damage to each other and creating large Gazing Shadows pools
Use Bloodlust/ Heroism/ Time Warp during this phase to defeat Mannoroth quickly
Tank Responsibilities
During Phase 1, the only enemy to tank is the Doom Lord summoned by the first Fel Iron Summoner
At the start of Phase 2, pull Mannoroth toward the green Fel Spire and place your back to it
Each time Mannoroth begins his Glaive Combo, one tank should take the first Glaive Thrust and the subsequent Massive Blast, while the other tank taunts for the second Glaive Thrust
Use Active Mitigation abilities during the Glaive Thrust cast to avoid taking a Puncture Wound
The Massive Blast debuff means no tank can take two Massive Blasts in a row; the tank who takes the final Glaive Thrust of one Glaive Combo must take the first Glaive Thrust& the Massive Blast of the next Glaive Combo
When Phase 4 begins, spin Mannoroth around so he is on the edge and Empowered Massive Blast will knock you across the platform safely
During Phase 4, tanks should not both stand in front of Mannoroth, as Empowered Glaive Thrust will deal its damage to all players in front of the boss
If necessary, after an Empowered Mannoroth's Gaze creates Gazing Shadows pools, move Mannoroth a few yards along the outside edge of the platform to give the raid more space
Damage-Dealer Responsibilities
If affected by Curse of the Legion in Phase 1, run to the tank, use a cooldown, and call for a dispel
If affected by Mark of Doom in Phase 1, quickly move away from the raid, then intentionally take damage to clear the debuff
In Phases 2-3, adds take priority over Mannoroth; ranged DPS should prioritize Dread Infernals and melee DPS should prioritize Fel Imps
React quickly to each of the various ground-based AoE effects to avoid taking excessive damage
If targeted by Shadowforce, save movement speed-increasing abilities for late in the mechanic, when the pushback effect is the strongest
If assigned to soak Mannoroth's Gaze, follow the affected players as they run out of the raid
In Phase 4, spread out slightly as Mannoroth reaches 100 Energy to avoid too much overlap of Mannoroth's Gaze effects
In Phase 4, when Mannoroth uses Empowered Shadowforce, angle your facing or use strafe keys to control your direction, to avoid entering Gazing Shadows or falling off the edge of the platform
Healer Responsibilities
In Phase 1, players with Curse of the Legion or Mark of Doom will require spot healing
Dispel Curse of the Legion when called for
During Phases 2-4, tanks will take heavy damage from Glaive Combo; pre-cast shields or strong single-target heals on both tanks, and be prepared to use external CDs if called for
Raid damage will be heavy during Fel Hellstorm, Mannoroth's Gaze, Empowered Shadowforce, and Empowered Felseeker
If affected by Curse of the Legion in Phase 1, run to the tank, use a cooldown, and cdispel yourself
If affected by Mark of Doom in Phase 1, quickly move away from the raid, then intentionally take damage to clear the debuff
In Phase 4, spread out slightly as Mannoroth reaches 100 Energy to avoid too much overlap of Mannoroth's Gazeeffects
In Phase 4, when Mannoroth uses Empowered Shadowforce, angle your facing or use strafe keys to control your direction, to avoid entering Gazing Shadows or falling off the edge of the platform
