Stonard is the lone Horde outpost located in the Swamp of Sorrows. It was originally established by the Horde during the First War, along with a nearby base known as Rockard, as a preliminary base for the invasion of the Kingdom of Azeroth. It was abandoned in the aftermath of the Second War, but has since been re-established as an outpost with the formation of the new Horde and the orcs' renewed interest in the area. Regular patrols are sent out, and a number of small orcish encampments have been established nearby to further strengthen the Horde's control over the region. It is one of the few orcish communities to still have a great hall in its midst, and is protected by two burrows.
Speak with Dispatch Commander Ruag at Stonard in Swamp of Sorrows.
Regardless of whether you assist me within the temple, your people must be told of what is brewing here.
Southwest of the temple is the Horde town of Stonard. The orcs there wage war with the new human arrivals to the swamp, a raging conflict that I forsee only worsening.
It is not my role to interfere in mortal affairs, <name>. I simply ask you bring warning to your people of what lurks within the temple.
