TRIP THREE

Gathering Quests (Horde)

  1. Completing both Kill on Sight quests unlocks the quest Grark Lorkrub (Elite) given by Lexlort in Kargath, Badlands. Completing this quest unlocks Operation: Death to Angerforge, given by Warlord Goretooth in Kargath, Badlands.
  2. Complete the series of quests The Rise of the Machines which starts with Hierophant Theodora Mulvadania in Kargath, Badlands. The final quest in the series requires you to kill Golem Lord Argelmach in BRD.

Walthrough (Part Three)

Marshal Windsor Revisited

On your last trip to BRD, you should have picked up a random mob drop that started the quest A Crumpled Note. Go back to Marshal Windsor's cell (I hope you picked up the key from Gerstahn last time around) and show him the note. He will give you the follow-up quest A Shred of Hope, requiring you to get key pieces of information from General Angerforge and Golem Lord Argelmach.
General Angerforge

From the jail area, make your way back into the Shadowforge Lock area (it's through the door in the leftmost hallway from the Detention area "lobby"). Use your key on the gear mechanism, walk up the ramp, turn left and follow the hallway into the West Garrison. From the West Garrison, there are two sets of stairs going down. General Angerforge and his cohorts are in the area below the left set of stairs. Before going down the stairs, clear the whole area. At the bottom of the stairs are a pair of fire elementals. Take them down and go back up to the landing and drop down to fight the group to the left of Angerforge. It is best to clear this room before engaging Angerforge because aggroing them during the big fight could spell disaster. Four non-elite guards surround Angerforge himself. Take the guards down first while your tank engages the boss. Don't leave the guards for last because Angerforge calls in about a dozen reinforcements when his health goes down to about 30% so you don't want to get stuck with too many adds. It's possible to take him down before he gets a chance to call out but don't worry about them. If you have AoE casters, let them unleash their AoE spells on the crowd but concentrate on taking down Angerforge first.

Alliance players, don't forget to loot him for the information that Windsor needs.
Golem Lord Argelmach

After killing Angerforge, head back up the stairs and down the opposite flight of stairs into the Manufactory. This time you need to clear the whole area, both right and left sides. Take out the roaming engineers first and then start working your way around the room. Once the whole room has been cleared, prepare for the big fight. Golem Lord Argelmach is in the room at the end of the long hallway. He has two elite golem guards who are immune to any type of crowd control. If you have three tanks on your team (warrior, paladin, druid, pet or shaman) then you are in business. Otherwise, the warrior might have to tank both Argelmach and one of the golems. At the start of the fight, Argelmach will run away into the Manufactory to call on the (now dead) engineers and golems. Don't waste your time running after him but focus your attacks on one golem guard, hopefully finishing him up before Argelmach returns. Have your main tank engage Argelmach as soon as he returns and focus your dps on him while the off-tank focuses on the remaining golem, saving it for last.

Don't forget to loot him for his head (Horde) or for the information that Windsor needs (Alliance).
Jailbreak! (Alliance Only)

Now that you have both sets of information, head back to the Detention Block.

The next part of the Alliance quest involving Marshal Windsor requires escorting him to the entrance. He will lead the way and he takes a roundabout route, opening jail cells as he goes and spawning some named mobs.

Clear all the mobs outside both rings of jail cells before attempting to start the quest. In the first hallway on the right, there is also a Supply Room where Windsor will stop to suit up. Clear the mobs in there before heading to Windsor's cell.

When you get to his cell, have everyone who has A Shred of Hope talk to Windsor first. Make sure everyone knows NOT to start Jailbreak! until the others have had a chance to complete the prior quest. When all are ready, have one person talk to Marshal Windsor again to accept the Jailbreak! quest. The rest of the group will be prompted to accept the quest, and Windsor will start heading out.

Since you have already cleared the hallways, all you have to do is walk with him until you get to the Supply Room. Here a few mobs will spawn but since you have previously cleared the room, it shouldn't be a problem to take down the new guys. Windsor will equip himself and turns into an elite 6th member of the group.

He then makes his way towards the other ring of cells, opening cells as he goes. A few of the cells will have named mobs in them. With Windsor helping you and the hallway pretty much clear of the riff raff, you should be able to take down the named mobs easily. He finally finds the cell he wants, frees the prisoner in there (who runs off into the sunset without looking back, by the way) and walks out to the entrance.

This completes your quest and sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation with a disguised dragon in Stormwind.

Thus ends your BRD adventure!
