• PvP. This is something I recently discovered can be very profitable. PvP can level you up, but you always receive a reward bag for competing in a PvP match. If you win, you get a bigger reward bag. These bags can have items to use in PvP, gear, and even decor items that are only obtainable through PvP. So there is a lot of motivation to PvP if you want to earn some coin.
• Don't repair your housing plugs. In a way this is saving money, but can still pay off in the end. Some plugs don't offer any benefit at all except for looks. So there is no point in repairing those when the time is up on them. Don't repair a plug that you can buy cheaper elsewhere. For example, I have one plug that costs 5 gold to repair, but I can buy that same plug on the auction house for 20 silver! I just replace the plug. However, you should careful with this as decorations around the plug will get removed when a plug is replaced. Lastly, you should maintain plugs that have multiple tiers, like resource spots. It's not worth the cost in replacing them.
• Become an interior decorator. In Ultime Online, a lot of players made good money by designing houses for others. You don't get that control in Wildstar, but you can easily charge for ideas for people to implement in their house.
• Sell your services. If you are a good tank, you can sell yourself to give players runs in dungeons that have proven to be difficult. Same for healers, or even guild groups who can help players get the items they need in raids.
• Run dungeons. One of the great things about Wildstar is that you can back to lower level dungeons at the appropriate level and run them over and over again. Some of the best gear and décor items come from dungeons. So re-run those if you have a decent group to do it with.
• Beg for money. Well, don't really beg, but you can ask nicely for money if you need something. Players in Wildstar are actually quite friendly, and if you say you are short some money for an item you need, they may give it to you. Just don't beg too much.

• It’s almost always a bad idea to engage in bidding wars.  You lose listing fees, shift prices in the wrong direction, and spend valuable time fighting with someone else.  If you’re constantly finding yourself in a bidding war for your product, try finding one with less competition and save yourself time and stress.
• Avoid greatly undercutting others on the market.  Yes, you might move your items faster, but you could shift prices in the wrong direction for you, and will often end up in a bidding war anyways.  If you really need to move product fast, use the buy/sell now options.
• Diversify – you never know when the market for your major money-maker is going to tank.
• If you are running out of buy/sell order slots, make an alt.  You’ll lose some money sending items back and forth, but it can definitely be worth it.  The alt also opens up extra trade skills.

Each capsule you open contains a random chance at her latest offerings (including mounts, décor, currencies, and consumables), and as you open more you’ll fill up Madame Fay’s carrot meter. Once it’s full you’re guaranteed an item of purple quality of better in your next Fortune! It’s the only guarantee in the universe signified by a giant magic-filled carrot (as far as we’re aware).

Get Sleighed

The fabulous, amazing, incredibly wonderful Ho Ho Ho Mobile mounts are the talk of Nexus. Gawk at its delicate gold plating. Be puzzled by the mounted animal head, and if it’s still alive, does it ever wonder what the heck nog is (?). Admire the jolly yet menacing carvings of skull-faced revelers that add a touch of the sinister to the celebratory. And, last but not least, imagine yourself sitting atop its glistening seat, riding it across Nexus to eternal glory.

*The Ho Ho Ho Mobile mount variations in the Madame Fay Fortunes will be rotating approximately every few weeks; beginning with the green and gold versions, followed by blue and gold, and then all color variants will be available until the next Fortune inventory refresh. After collecting both non-gold variants, you can purchase a Ho Ho Ho Mobile Gilding Catalyst for 1 gold from the Madame Fay Far-Traders (found in Illium and Thayd) to consume the mounts and spit out the gold version. It’s important to note that when turning in the color variants for the gold version, the unclaimed mount items must be in your inventory. If the mounts are claimed by a character to be used, they cannot then also be used to create the gold version. Of course keep in mind there is a rare chance to win the gold version directly from a Fortune, and it isn’t on a rotating schedule like the other variants.

Ok, sure, there’s other stuff besides the Ho Ho Ho Mobile too, of course. Let’s see some of ‘em!

Fortune Coins are purchased directly from the In-Game Store, and can be redeemed for Madame Fay’s Fortunes (accessed through the golden carrot icon), which can include a wide variety of items, décor, mounts, currencies, and consumables. Hit your ‘N’ key inside WildStar to bring up the In-Game Store.

Many people from all over Nexus have been hoping for a day when they’d have another shot at Fortunes long since retired from Madame Fay’s tiny golden orbs. Well good news—the Madame has sensed the desires of the people and is in the business of keeping attuned to their sympathetic vibrations! Her inventory has been fully refreshed with a bevy of returning space-themed Fortunes, including unique mounts, pets, toys, and cosmetic changes for your character. What’s more, joining this revived selection are three all-new mounts! With each Fortune you open there’s a chance to score a yellow, blue, or ultra-rare gold Industrial BoreBot mount.

Unlike recent Fortunes updates, there’s no gilding catalyst this time around you need to trade in BoreBot variants for the gold version, nor are these mounts on any sort of limited rotation. All three colors have a chance to appear in your chosen Fortunes for the duration of this stock’s availability, but it’ll take a little extra luck to strike gold.
